Introduction
The Right to Information Act 2005 (RTI) is an Act of the Parliament of India "to provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens". Under the provisions of the Act, any citizen may request information from a "public authority" which is required to reply expeditiously or within thirty days.
Information Available
Citizens can seek information related to the school's administration, affiliation details, building safety, fire safety, and other public disclosures as mandated by the CBSE and the State Education Department.
How to File an RTI
- Write an application on a plain paper or use the prescribed format if available.
- Specify the information required in detail.
- Attach the required application fee (as per government rules) in the form of a Demand Draft, Banker's Cheque, or Indian Postal Order.
- Send the application to the Public Information Officer (PIO) via Registered Post or deliver it in person.
